At Semo, we show you the data about you that insurance companies use to determine the price of your car insurance.
We show you that data as an insurer would see it and, based upon your data, we provide you with insights to help you improve your personal risk profile.
We use your data to calculate your Semo Score, and how your score changes over time. Your Semo Score can be used to approximate the price of your insurance — and how much you could save.
Why are you asking for my Driver’s License?
States require Driver’s License information to release your Motor Vehicle Record report to us, so we can show it to you.
Are you ever going to ask for my Social Security Number?
No. We only ask you for data that we need to provide you with the data and insights you need in order to get the right coverage for you at an affordable price.
Is my data safe and secure with you?
Semo is built to modern software development and security standards, and is a security-sensitive application that adheres to strict encryption compliance and regulatory requirements.
I know what’s on my driving record. Why should I bother?
In our experience, the data used by insurers can have errors. Depending on the error, this means you could be paying hundreds, even thousands more for your car insurance. Checking your driving record regularly to ensure it matches what you know could save you money.
Why are you doing this?
Our leadership team has over 50 years experience working in insurance. We noticed one important trend that led us to start Semo—everyone is on the side of the insurance carrier, and very few companies exist to empower the insurance buyer. Insurance is required. And insurance is great to have when disaster strikes. We want you to have the knowledge and insights to make better decisions about insurance, and enjoy the peace of mind and cost savings that come with knowing you’re covered for whatever life throws your way.
