Please review this Privacy Notice to more fully understand our use and disclosure of the information that we collect through our website. This Privacy Notice is made a part of the Terms of Use, and any capitalized terms used in this Privacy Notice without definition are intended to have the meanings provided under the Terms of Use.
As we discuss more thoroughly described in the Terms of Use, the Services may involve third-party providers of information or insurance products. This Privacy Notice does not provide to these third parties, and you should carefully review the privacy disclosures of these third parties before using the applicable Services.
How We Collect Information
We collect information that You provide directly to us (i.e., by filling in fields on this website), from third-party sources based on information that you provide to us, and automatically in connection with Your use of the Services (see Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies , below).
The Information We Collect
When you create an account, we will collect your user ID and other similar authentication information and certain personal information such as your name, email address, and other related contact and identifying information. While using the Services, you may be asked to provide other information that we are unable to obtain from third parties but that is required in order for us to provide the Services that you have requested, such as information required by insurance carriers in connection with their making a decision regarding a potential offer of insurance to you.
As part of your creation of an account for the Services, you must create an account with ID.me, a third party that performs identity verification services. The information that you provide ID.me is governed by the ID.me terms and conditions and privacy policies, each of which you should read carefully before providing ID.me any information about you. We are not responsible for ID.me’s privacy practices. ID.me will provide us with certain information about you following your enrollment, including your name, date of birth, address, driver’s license number and state, phone number, and email address, in each case in accordance with the ID.me terms and conditions and privacy policy. If you delete or cancel your ID.me account, you will not be able to access the Services. Deletion or cancellation of your ID.me account does not result in the automatic deletion of your information held by Semo.
Whether or not you create an account, we will collect all information that you provide to us as part of your use of the Services. When you use our Services and provide us with information about you, you are authorizing us to collect information about you from third party data sources. In addition to the information that is provided to us by ID.me, this additional information may include information relating to your vehicles and driving history, such as your motor vehicle records, driver’s license status, expiration, class, restrictions, endorsements, accidents, traffic violations, and suspensions, as well as information relating to other drivers of your vehicles, and other details relating to your insurance policies.
As you navigate our Services, we will automatically collect anonymous information about you and your usage of our Services during your visit. This information includes navigational data and web server logs, and may include information such as your IP address, the version of both your browser and operating system, and the URL of the website visited previously. We do not currently support “Do Not Track” settings.
How We Use the Information We Collect
We use the information we collect to provide the Services to you, to respond to your requests for information, and to improve the quality of our Services. If you use our Services to apply for an insurance product, your credit report information may be used in the underwriting or rating of that policy.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We will share your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this Privacy Notice.
As part of our Services, we may share your personal information with insurance or reinsurance companies, or their designated administrators, agents or service providers (who may or may not be insurance support organizations). In some cases, the designated agent may be our affiliate (e.g., Semo Insurance Agency, LLC).
We may share your information with other third parties, such as third parties that provide information about you that is required in order to provide the Services to you, or to respond to your requests for information.
We may share your information with our affiliate entities. These entities will only use your information as provided under this Privacy Notice. However, there may be cases where that entity’s use of your information will be subject to a separate privacy notice, and in those cases we will inform you of any transfer prior to our sharing of your information in order to give you an opportunity to review the applicable privacy notice.
We may, from time to time in connection with your use of our services, present you with offers from third parties with whom we have referral arrangements. If you click on such an offer, we may share some of your information with that partner so that they may serve you better. That partner’s use of the information that we or you provide them is subject to the terms and conditions and privacy notices of that partner, and not this Privacy Notice.
We may share your information with third parties as required by law or if we reasonably believe that such action is necessary to comply with applicable laws.
We may share your information as necessary to enforce our Terms of Use.
We may share your personal information to protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or to any other third party with your prior consent to do so. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, you will be notified of such change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.
